Meet Daisuke Muramatsu, Yusuke Muramatsu, Kensuke Muramatsu of Prospective Fow

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daisuke Muramatsu, Yusuke Muramatsu, Kensuke Muramatsu.

Prospective Flow is a fashion apparel brand founded by 3 Japanese brothers (Kensuke-Oldest, Vice President, Daisuke-2nd, CEO, and Yusuke-Youngest, Designer) in Los Angeles, California in 2009. It was easy and natural decision for us to start the company with brothers. We have been doing things together since we are a child and it is always the same way.

We have been working with local factories since we started the line. The relationship & friendship with the people who work with us since through the brand kept us here! The cultural and ethnic diversity in the city of Los Angeles also inspired us as a designer and a brand.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was not easy for us for sure… a lot of up and down through years.

Most difficult thing for us was putting the brand concept into products and create something original and unique, but still in the sense of comfortable everyday outfits.

Yusuke, the designer of the brand is very talented, but it took him more than 5 years to find the “look” of Prospective Flow.

Please tell us about PROSPECTIVE FLOW INC.
“Today is the future our ancestors dreamed of. Keep the heritage flowing.” Prospective Flow is devoted to the concept of “Onko-chishin”, a Japanese idiom meaning: the attempt to discover new ideas by studying the past through scrutiny of the history. All products are designed and cultivated with soul and passion, in hope that one day they will be scrutinized by the future generation.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
We grow up together and share all memories. They are all great and difficult to choose favorite.
