Today we’d like to introduce you to Daisha Breedlove.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I launched my company It factor global April 28, 2022. Our motto is “A charm that Inspires” And I introduced the brand with my matte Red lipstick “Spellbound”. I wanted to introduce the brand with red lipstick because of the powerful feeling, along with the confidence that women get when they wear it. I’ve always been into red lipstick but after years of research, I was truly inspired by the history of red lipstick. In the 1800s the surrogate movement was created.
It was a movement where women were not allowed to vote so thousands of them wore red lipstick to showcase their voices to let everyone know “just because I’m a woman you can’t silence me & I deserve the right to vote just like men” I’m strong, I’m, powerful I’m a woman. Some say you are born with the “It factor”, others say it’s something that grows on you regardless of when you wear our products you’ll feel confident & powerful.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was not a smooth road since I’ve been working on this for over two years at the beginning of Covid. I wanted to create the perfect product to make every woman and race feel confident & powerful. There’s never really a right time to start a business because we get stuck in our heads a lot but you just have to go for it!
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
The most important thing that I have learned along the journey is, it’s not an overnight process and again it’s never the right time to release something no matter what it is. But you are your worst critic you have to just go for it and chase your dreams. If you believe in yourself or your product no matter what it may be others will also!
