Meet Dae Harris of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dae Harris.

Hi Dae, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
“I started making music when I was 13, recording on my mom’s laptop with a Guitar Hero mic and teaching myself how to create beats. Over the years, I kept developing my sound, and about a year ago, I moved from Kansas to Los Angeles to really pursue my passion and take my skills to the next level.”

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No it wasn’t a smooth journey but I can’t complain because it’s what I asked for. What do I mean by that well I feel like if you want something in life you invite what comes with it and life for me been with ups and downs from bad relationships, getting in trouble with the law , and just trying to find my place with music.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
The thing that I do for work when I’m not focused on music or even doing something new , I’m usually at work cooking up some food for the college sorority students. I’m actually a cook that makes beats. The thing that I’m most proud of is having a couple of beat placements on a couple of albums from my bro the CEO of WLR ( Whole Lotta Records, Whole Lotta Racks) Saiah Woes. He’s actually the first person to really rap on my beats and push my sound and help me develop the sound I was looking for. The other proud moment is actually moving to Los Angeles to follow my dreams. I feel like the thing that sets me apart from others is I’m not afraid to take a L and use it as a lesson to learn more. Like music isn’t just to play around it’s how I get my emotions out of my body without causing drama or damage to anyone around me or to my mental. I’m a very laid back nice kind hearted person who’s just experiencing life, that’s what set me apart from others.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Just keep following your dreams don’t let nothing stop you even when you feel like no one is rooting for you just know someone is out there.
