Libertad, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started out as an actress and model, and then I discovered blogging. I am now very focused on fashion blogging and the whole world of “influencing”. Fashion blogging was a natural progression for me since I have loved all things fashion related since a very early age.
Has it been a smooth road?
There were so many roadblocks in the entertainment world. I thought that if I had a decent resume, a good real, talent and dedication, I could make it. It turned out you never even get your foot in the door it seems unless you “pay to play”. It’s not “who you know”, it’s how much someone likes you, and how much they are able to help you.
So, what should we be on the lookout for, what’s next in store for you?
I plan to continue blogging and growing my online brand. My focus has shifted from working for others, to working for myself and being my own boss.
Let’s explore some of the challenges you’ve faced along the way. What was the most difficult part of your career so far?
I think I am going through the hardest part right now. I am making the transition to working for myself which creates a how different mindset. Just a year ago,I was auditioning, and constantly looking for work, now I am working with companies via the internet to build my own brand as a fashion and lifestyle blogger.
Are there days when you feel like you’ve done everything you wanted to, careerwise – the “I’ve made it” kind of moments?
Just this past June I have started working with more companies than I could have ever dreamed. I am in the middle of a major upturn for my blog and business as I write. Hopefully this is just the beginning.
