Meet Cris Cyborg

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cris Cyborg.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Cris. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I have always been athletic however never thought I would be a fighter. I had a coach who kept telling me to give Kickboxing a try, six months later I had my first MMA fight, and the rest would become history. I have now opened a small private training facility focusing mostly on women and families that allows us to achieve our fitness, self-defense, and competition goals.

Has it been a smooth road?
I have always put my faith in Jesus Christ, my savior. I feel I am given the platform to glorify his name and bring his light to the world. Of course like anyone I’ve suffered struggles or setbacks, but my faith in the Lord always keeps me moving forward.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
Cris Cyborg has won three different world titles in three different promotions beating three different sets of contenders. With notable wins over Gina Carano, Holly Holm, and Marloes Coenen Cyborg has a 13-year unbeaten streak that might never be matched win the sport of WMMA. Cris Cyborg Mixed Martial Arts and Fitness is a family oriented facility which focuses on fitness, friends, and healthy lifestyle.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Huntington Beach is so supportive, the entire community supports me whenever I fight. We sold over 2million dollars worth of tickets for The Forum in only 72 hours to sell out UFC 232, that was incredible!
