Hi Cortney, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I grew up in a small town, but I’ve always been drawn to the energy and ambition of big cities. I knew early on that I wanted to build a life that was bold, impactful, and far from ordinary. When I first experienced a night out with Rare Nightlife as a guest, something immediately clicked. It wasn’t just a fun night—it was an environment that felt elevated, intentional, and empowering, especially for women.

I saw a space where nightlife wasn’t just about going out—it was about creating unforgettable experiences, building community, and reshaping an industry that often overlooks women’s voices. That night inspired me to become part of the movement Rare was building. I was offered a chance to be apart of company, and from there, everything changed. I dove in with a passion to not only grow within the company but to help redefine what nightlife could look like for the next generation.

Now, being a part of Rare Nightlife’s leadership, I’m proud to help lead a brand that uplifts women, curates premium experiences, and continues to set new standards in the industry.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has pushed me to grow in ways I never expected. By day, I work as a lash tech and a paraeducator, so balancing those responsibilities while dedicating myself to Rare Nightlife requires a high level of discipline and time management. It’s not always easy, but my passion for what we’re building keeps me motivated.

One of the most challenging aspects has been putting myself out there. In this industry, rejection is part of the process—whether it’s reaching out to new guests, networking, or pitching ideas. You have to be resilient, and that’s something I’ve learned through experience. At the same time, I’m constantly inspired by the people I meet and the energy they bring. It fuels my creativity and drives me to keep developing fresh ideas, which I make a point to jot down and bring to life.

The journey hasn’t been perfect, but it’s shaped me into someone who’s confident, resourceful, and unafraid to step into the spotlight. Every setback has taught me something valuable—and that growth is what I’m most proud of.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At Rare Nightlife, I specialize in creating elevated nightlife experiences that are safe, stylish, and unforgettable—especially for women. My role involves everything from connecting with guests and coordinating VIP services to promoting exclusive events and making sure every person who comes out with us feels valued and empowered.

What I’m most proud of is being part of a woman-operated company that’s redefining the industry. We’re not just filling venues—we’re building community and creating space for women to thrive in nightlife, both as guests and professionals.

What sets me apart is my ability to connect with people in an authentic way. I don’t just promote—I genuinely care about the experience someone has when they go out with us. I bring creative ideas to the table, stay disciplined even with a full schedule, and never stop thinking about how we can make our events even more special. That combination of passion, personal connection, and professionalism is what drives everything I do.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is when my family would pack up our trailer and head out to the desert. It was our little escape—just us, the peace and quiet, and no distractions from the outside world. That time away created such a strong bond between us. Being unplugged and surrounded by the people you love was a special kind of connection I’ll always cherish.
