Meet Corrine Rogers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Corrine Rogers.

Hi Corrine, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
For me, everything started young. I didn’t grow up as privileged as my peers but always had the best education that allowed me to dive into my creative interests. I started painting when I was six and to this day that is my creative outlet and passion. Creating meaningful pieces, whether it be on a canvas or in a poem, that evokes emotions out of others — is my love language. That brings me to now, I am a full-time artist, writer and indulge in anything that makes my heart feel pure.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With life come obstacles and things that can’t be predetermined. So has it been a smooth road? Nothing will always go according to plan, things won’t always pan out the way I expect — but that’s not important, really. I allow for change and growth as it comes.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
At this time, my art is conveyed in a myriad of ways. As a fine artist, I’m known for my colorful, sometimes risqué paintings that articulate the woman’s body in a way that I find, leaves room for wonder while still showing it all. My pieces illuminate the beauty behind the curves of our minds. Writing has also been a passion of mine and in March 2023, I self-published my first poetry and prose book. The theme is love and can be interpreted differently by each reader. It’s titled ‘the wind is talking’ and is available on Amazon.

What matters most to you? Why?
Making a positive impact on those I love and those who are moved by my work. The most rewarding part of it all is the messages I get from people telling me I inspire them. And little do they know, they’re my biggest inspiration. My art is how I see the world and we are in everything.
