Meet Corey Sandler and Reza Allah-Bakhshi of OC Event Photos in Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Corey Sandler and Reza Allah-Bakhshi.

Corey and Reza are industry leaders in Orange County’s prominent corporate event photography scene.  As OC Event Photos, they provide professional photography services for corporate conferences, trade shows, cocktail receptions, company picnics and holiday parties in Orange County and Los Angeles.

Corey began working as a photographer in San Diego’s entertainment industry, where he became a preferred vendor for event photography at several San Diego venues.  After moving to Orange County in 2011, Corey changed his primary focus to corporate event photography and dreamt up OC Event Photos.

Reza established himself as a top Orange County photographer while working for several premier OC publications, covering everything Orange County for over a decade.  He specialized in Orange County’s fashion scene, capturing images that helped make company brands stand out from the crowd.

Corey and Reza first crossed paths in early 2016 when they worked together to photograph a restaurant’s 90^th anniversary celebration.  They quickly became friends, and soon Corey invited Reza to become a partner in OC Event Photos.  With a combined experience of more than 25 years, they provide Orange County and Los Angeles with a one stop solution for professional event photography.

Has it been a smooth road?
Finding a niche in corporate event photography was difficult, since the photography industry is saturated with photographers.  Both of us started as photographers by shooting everything, including senior portraits, fashion models, family special events, corporate events, entertainment industry events (including Lady Gaga, Usher, Snoop Dog, BlizzCon, and Red Bull), commercial products (such as Rolex watches, Revlon cosmetics, smart phones, medical devices, and jewelry), and travel industry photography (Expedia and Couchsurfing).  We both found that selling our services in all these markets simultaneously was frustrating and time consuming.  Gradually, we each became increasingly interested in event photography, specializing in conferences, trade shows, corporate events and special events.

Working together as OC Event Photos, we have used our collective experience and expertise to successfully market ourselves as a premier photography services provider to small and large businesses across Orange County and Los Angeles.  Our clients include Nestle, Mazda, Toyota, Lincoln, Blizzard, LA Fitness, Cisco, Hard Rock Hotel, Glenfiddich, Beam Suntory, Live Nation,  Modern Luxury and Ready Pac Foods, along with many others.

OC Event Photos is proud to set the industry standard in corporate event photography.  Our photography stands out in a crowded field, with every picture optimized to achieve the sharpest, cleanest, and most colorful imagery in the photography industry.  As leaders in the industry, we like to share our expertise by also teaching specialized techniques to upcoming photographers on the best way of taking pictures under difficult lighting conditions and for using photo-editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom to enhance their images.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Los Angeles is a melting pot on a grand scale. Southern California is ethnically and culturally diverse; the people who live here come from everywhere. To be precise, they come from 180 countries and speak 140 languages. If you move to Los Angeles, your neighbors might be from half-way around the world or the next state over. Also, you got to love the laid back attitude and healthy lifestyle.

Sitting in traffic is a big, unfortunate part of living in Los Angeles. Public transportation here is woefully inadequate. While the City of Los Angeles is increasing the number of subway lines and ridership slowly increases, cars (and traffic) are still the norm.
