Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Corey Hodes.
Dr. Hodes, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have been practicing Optometry since 2001. At the beginning of my career, I worked as a fill-in doctor for several well established clinics throughout the city. Although I thoroughly enjoyed the experiences I had at these diverse settings, I knew deep down that my passion was to create and develop my own private Optometric practice. In 2005 I opened Hodes Vision Optometry in West Los Angeles. Hodes Vision Optometry was designed to create an atmosphere that relaxes my patients and makes them feel comfortable from the moment they walk in. Our goal is to make visiting the eye doctor a pleasant experience for patients of all ages. I have surrounded myself with a very friendly and outgoing staff that assist me in providing the most amazing care to my patients.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’ve been fortunate to really enjoy the work that I do. It is very rewarding to help my patients see better and ensure the continued good health of their eyes.

Hodes Vision Optometry is a full scope Optometric Practice. We provide comprehensive eye exams for adults, children and infants. Our optical boutique offers a wide range of designer frames and sunglasses, children’s and infant eyewear, sports and safety glasses and the latest in premium lens technology. We also offer complete contact lens services, treatment of eye infections, and refractive surgery co-management. We are known for our incredible patience in dealing with young children, friendly and helpful staff and our state-of-the-art equipment. Our patients become part of our family and are welcomed with a smile every time they visit us. We love getting to know our patients and always spend the time to educate them about their eye health and vision care options. There is nothing more gratifying then helping a patient see more clearly. To me, sight means being able to visualize the world, create memories and see the wonders of life. I feel so blessed to be able to make a positive impact on the lives of my patients by improving the way they see the world.

I have been lucky enough to surround myself with an extremely caring and dedicated office staff. Having these wonderful helpers on my team has made my practice run smoothly and efficiently. My patients connect and interact with my staff as much as they do with me, so it has been a collective effort to make our patients happy while servicing all of their eye care needs.
