Meet Clifford Ashlock of Photo Bombed Photo Booth Rentals in Ventura

Today we’d like to introduce you to Clifford Ashlock.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started looking into the photo booth business in the mid 2000’s but never pursued it until 2015 when my wife called me about a radio commercial she heard about a photo booth opportunity and that was the beginning. The main reason I started the business is because my wife has a form of cancer called Multiple Myeloma. She was diagnosed about 6 years ago and it has been a rough road. She still works a full-time job and my goal is to subsidize her income to take some stress from her so she can relax. I spend evenings and weekends running our photo booth, going to bridal shows, expos and any event to get our name to be recognized. We started with one booth and we now have 4. We are in the process to hire team members as we are growing at a rapid pace and enjoying every minute. By 2018 my wife should be able to relax.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been simple but not the struggles are as any business would have such as time management of trying to do everything from advertising to keeping the books.

So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Photo Bombed Photo Booth Rentals story. Tell us more about the business.
We are a Photo booth company, if you have been to the county fair and stepped into the box with your favorite girl or guy put a dollar in the slot, posed for 4 photos and collected your strip as it dropped in the slot outside well that isn’t even close to what we do. Although we can still supply that classic style strip but now they have your name, the date of your event, custom graphics and colors to match the theme of your event. We bring props like Funny glasses and mask to make the experience more enjoyable.

We specialize in weddings and quinceaneras but we are available for any type of event such as fundraisers and corporate events to graduations and holiday parties.

We are known for being reliable and professional. We take pride in the fact that we are always evolving and changing to make the experience the best it can be and the degree of service we offer as this sets us apart from the crowd

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I believe the photo booth industry is here to stay for a very long time. The big shift will probably be Virtual Reality since it is already becoming a reality in the industry, now we just have to see where it takes us.
