Today we’d like to introduce you to Claire Arnaud-Aubour.
Claire, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I originally wanted to become a lawyer after graduating from law school in France, but my passion for entertainment and people took me on a very different path.
I am also passionate about makeup, cosmetics, and fashion and I actually have a degree in cosmetology as well!
I arrived in Los Angeles 2 decades ago and also lived in Miami and New York, but my heart always stayed in the City of Angels!
For many years, I have worked as a freelance journalist, holding many one-on-one celebrity interviews for Europe 1, TF1 and Radio Monaco Radio Station in France and for their correspondents based in Los Angeles.
I walked the red carpet at the Academy Awards, coordinated various TV productions and a variety of public events and interviews for other production companies.
This is where I learned investigation and negotiating with PR when we were preparing celebrity interviews and else… I naturally always introduced people and professional together and had an opportunity to represent the aerial and circus choreographer of the Francis Lawrence movie “Water for Elephant”, Mr. Sebastien Stella!
This is how I really started Public Relations. I was working as an event co-producer as well before and had to promote those events, so it was logic for me to finally find my path into the communication universe.
For the past eight years, I have dedicated a hundred percent of my career towards the PR business, event producer, and social media manager and created my own agency: SpLAshPR Agency Corp. with a whole team to split our actions for the best!
My team is bright and efficient, they individually speak more than 2 languages. We also have in the team Antoine as the SEO and Social Media manager, Margot as the account manager, and Solène as a Business Developer.
We are proud to partner with the luxurious brand Barnes International Realty with whom we produce for the past 3 years, the Barnes at Colcoa French Film Festival.
We invest in each new project and supports the interests of our clients personally and professionally. We put our international skills to our customers as a communication agent, event’s organizer, and media specialist.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I don’t know any “smooth road” but I have to say that the adventure is worth it!
As a little girl, I was dreaming about the big city of New York!
I was always an adventurer and spent pretty much my late 20’s and early 30’s traveling and studying.
To me, ideas, hard work, actions, and perseverance are the keys and there is always a positive issue to any bad experience.
We often hear about LaLaLand and I have to say that I experienced it, but I never lost faith and trusted myself to keep going, no matter what.
I have to say that I enjoy every contract that I signed and every client I get to meet for a punctual or a longer business relationship that I have met, brought me a “plus” I just love most of the people I have met and keep the best of them, even with the difficult ones! People have issues and you can’t always fix everyone, you just need to do your best in your mission and the whole team has the same positive attitude. It is just great to work together, no matter how the road is offering!

Yes! Absolutely… We are not at the Academy Awards Ceremony but if I was, I would definitely thank my beautiful mom that had passed away this year in January. She was my first ever supporter! Can you imagine having your very young daughter leaving you for such a big country such as the USA?
She was scared for me, but she respected my choices and was my mentor, my guidance… she is, still…
I have to thank my husband Tropez and my BFF Jeanne, which are my second and third best supporters! My husband is always here for me and helps me a lot as an event coordinator and so is Jeanne who is a pro at event’s coordination and always find the best price ever! She also owns a business called Z Pasta Bar.
I will thank the person that hired me and taught me a lot; Mr. Benoit Clair, that has been making a big career as a Publicist and a Journalist! He pushed me into my Public Relations path…
