Meet Christopher Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christopher Brown.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I picked up a camera late high school and started photographing my friends. Everything we did together I would carry a film carry around my neck. This is where my love of photography grew and I loved taking pictures. I slowly started building a fashion/portrait portfolio and getting paid by brands here and there. It wasn’t until 4 years later where I realized I could make a living taking photos if I worked hard. I slowly started building my personal brand and now I get to do this full time and love every moment of it.

Please tell us about your art.
I love working with people and photographing them in a city environment. I feel the city background has a great feel and realness to an image. Even though its mostly focused on the subject, the background is still an important piece to tell the story. The inspiration is always different and the emotion is always different based on what I want to portray. A lot of it is inspired by personal growth, following your dreams, and loving others.

We often hear from artists that being an artist can be lonely. Any advice for those looking to connect with other artists?
Don’t be afraid to connect with people. Isolation can be dangerous for your mental health, people need to be with people to grow and be happy in this world.
