Today we’d like to introduce you to Chrissy Morales.
Chrissy Morales is the founder of TV Unsung Heroes Network Inc. whose mission is to empower and uplift the community with positive multimedia content. Throughout Chrissy Morales’ life she had always been involved in the world of entertainment. From pursuing dance in her younger years to graduating with a Journalism BA she is no stranger to working in front of or behind the camera. However, during all of her endeavors she had one dream that held true and that was to be the host of her own TV talk show. In college after being heavily exposed to the media and realizing that the news can lean toward reporting the depressing side of life, Chrissy knew she wanted her show to do something different. She chose to focus her show on people who were doing great things in the community under the radar, these Unsung heroes that mainstream media seemed to ignore. This concept, the very backbone of the show, was inspired years prior by Chrissy’s winning of the Unsung Hero award at the Chelsea Hotel. She received this award for going above and beyond the call of duty at her job. This achievement made her realize that others going above and beyond should be awarded as well. And that was it! She decided right then and there that she wanted to make those people in the community shine. She wanted to show the world that normal people can truly make a difference and that they should be recognized for it. However, this dream remained only a fantasy until one faithful day. In 2013 while Chrissy Morales was enrolled at Rowan University, she was interviewed by Dr.Stanley El on The American Dream (which now she is a Cohost) On this show, upon being asked what her own dream was, she was once again motivated to pursue it. From that interview came the spark that lit the flame in her heart. The show had a modest beginning in 2014, being shot live at the Annual I AM film Festival in Woodbury, NJ, but has now grown into a pre-rehearsed success being filmed in its own studio setting. Unsung Heroes with Chrissy Morales talkshow/web series now has 4 Seasons available on platforms YouTube, Podcast: Anchor/ Spotify.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My story is a story of perseverance! The journey has definitely not been easy. First let me begin by saying I was the first person in my family to graduate high school and college, and with all honors. I was raised by a single mother who is my unsung hero. As a strong independent Latina woman, the challenges were always there from the beginning. I got rejected multiple times for my show focusing on the community. I interviewed with a network that said the talkshow will not make money because it focused on the little people. They wanted Unsung Heroes with Chrissy Morales to focus on corporations doing good for the community. That was never my vision or my mission.
I was definitely discouraged, found myself thinking about the luxuries and benefits of being with a network. I decided to call a few mentors who saw a bigger brighter picture. They said, “Chrissy start your own network! Do you want to invest in your dream or someone else’s!” From that point on, I was on a mission! Starting off, we didn’t have a place to film, the vision was there, the guest were there, I was missing the location. With the help of my mentor, we were able to get a location which we now have been filming for four years at no charge.TV Unsung Heroes Network would not have been possible without the love and support of my community, family, friends, and mentors. I can honestly say I thought of giving up multiple times, but embracing my ideas and talking to my mentors changed my mind. I wouldn’t have gotten this far without my mentors.

TV Unsung Heroes Network Inc. is a broadcasting community network whose mission is to empower and uplift the community with positive multimedia content.
What I am most proud of my company is that we shed light upon the world. We aim to inspire, educate, and empower our community by highlighting individuals who have done great deeds within our community. Our purpose is to flood the airwaves with positive content. To inspire people to live their best life unapologetically.
What sets us apart from others is that we have genuine people who volunteer their time to contribute to empower the community. Our guests, talk show hosts, production assistant, engineer, graphic designers are all volunteers. We all have the same mission to uplift the community.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I believe that the characteristic that is most important to my success is my personality. I am vivacious, driven, hard working, and genuine. When I enter a room my goal is to make someone smile.
