Meet Chris Petroff of Oliver & Laurent Neuro Salon in Beverly Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Petroff.

Chris, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I began my hairstyling career graduating from the esteemed Paul Mitchell Academy with top honors, working with the advanced academy for both cut and color.

At the age of 20, I started my working career by assisting at the world renowned Prive, one of LA’s trendiest salons.

I acquired top skills and mastered the latest techniques in the world of color, including my signature highlighting method, Balayage. I became well known for these hand painted highlights that gives the most natural, most stunning color with less damage than traditional foiling.

After working at such notable salons as Prive and Warren – Tricomi, I became in demand among celebrity clientele.

Has it been a smooth road?
Is anything in life ever a smooth road? The economy has been a big struggle for hairdressers and hairdressing in general. Blowout bars, Gilt and similar concepts cheapened our industry, sacrificing service and quality for cheaper prices.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I’m so ecstatic to talk about Neuro Salon’s goals for 2017 and on. We’ve joined forces with former salon LMG and rebranded to be organic and cruelty free. Some of the best and most well-known hairdressers in Los Angeles are working together to bring back quality hairdressing with impeccable service. The cozy size makes it a bit more inviting than the big intimidating salons we’ve come from.

Personally, I’m known for my specialty in color. High impact blondes, rich brunettes, fiery redheads and my signature hand painted highlights. My background in fashion, art and music solidifies my visions and influences to help achieve hair goals without looking like everyone else.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Being a native, Los Angeles is constantly changing, but I don’t think there’s a better place in the world right now for an organic salon. Angelenos commitment to the environment and healthy living makes it a perfect backdrop for a concept based salon. Even three years ago, I don’t think it would have worked, but 2017 is the perfect time. Traffic is the biggest nightmare, but that’s a whole different questionnaire. 🙂
