Meet Chris Jai Alex

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Jai Alex.

Chris Jai Alex

Hi Chris Jai, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I moved from Lansing, Michigan from a music background. I started as a music producer and moved to LA after having a local success. I started as a stunt man and moved into voiceover and then on-camera work after a while, I saved up enough money to make my first feature film.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing worth fighting for came easy of course. During the journey of stability in LA, I had to scramble to pay rent, but ironically I was always able to find work in entertainment as I took the approach of learning as much as I could about everything I remember. I had one particular hard year where I got scammed twice. I tried to flip Nintendo Wii’s and Louis-inspired purses and I remember getting hit with a check cashing scam also a wire transfer scam they took all my Sag money that I had saved up an overdraft in my bank account by $1700. At that time my rent was 400 bucks between me and my roommate for a shoebox in Van Nuys and that was an impossible amount of money. I remember printing a series of my music and hitting the Rose Parade. I made everything back plus my Sag money that was the second time of my life that I knew no matter what problem came up I could dig my way out of it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve done everything and entertainment, but mostly I’m known as made from Call of Duty® Lord brought from One Punch Man and Pantho from ThunderCats Roar. Some other notable jobs as I was in extraction with Chris Hemsworth Batman versus Superman and Captain America Civil War end. I did Stunts for the Martian Manhunter on Super Grill season one.

The proudest moment I’ve had in my career was completing my first feature film entitled Get the Girl. It was self-funded and I directed and starred in the film to this day was the hardest thing I’ve done; you can see the film now on Blu-ray and getthegirlmovie.com.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Obviously, AI and global competition will play a part in my industry, but I’ve never really been worried about not being able to create as I am a firm believer in taking chances and investing in yourself. And it’s exciting that the world has become interconnected in any idea with a sound plan can’t connect to anyone anywhere. I think that’s the most exciting thing is that people with drive can have a fighting chance to live a big life and tell big stories.
