Today we’d like to introduce you to Chris Bukowski.
Chris, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
While working at a tech start up, I was asked by a friend if I’d be interested in helping with redesigning and developing her boss’s website for his yacht. With very little expertise in design or development I reached out to two of my fellow co-workers who specialized in design and development. After a successful build, some extra dollars in our pockets, and a happy client we decided to turn this into a business. From there we took on clients from word of mouth and our small web design and development company slowly started turning into a one stop shop for all digital needs along with marketing materials.
Has it been a smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road but that’s what makes it so exciting. A few of the struggles we came across in the beginning was finding the time to work on these projects as the majority of us were still working full time at our previous jobs. There was always a fine line of when the right time would be to make the full leap into our business and leaving comfortable salaries.

It’s funny when people ask what we do I respond by saying “everything” and this is the reason our LLC is Everything LLC. In reality, our expertise lies in web/app design and development with deep knowledge in social media, SEO, and SEM. We sometimes joke that if someone asked us if we do oil changes we’d say yes. KCM is filled with creative and knowledgeable digital media experts and we’re confident in our experience and knowledge in the space. I’d say one of our prouder moments was helping a tech start up pick up the pieces from a development side after their CTO went AWOL. We were able to get in help them maintain their backend architecture as if nothing ever happened and the architecture was a masterpiece to say the least. I believe what sets us apart from others is our willingness to take on jobs that most of our competitors would say not to.
We all come from a startup background and we realize the struggles that companies have to get off the ground. We like to be part of the long term vision of companies rather than come in and get out. It has paid off to date.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I believe our city is perfect for our business. There are so many technologically savvy and creative people out here that it’s impossible to expand on your knowledge in the field. If someone was just starting out here I’d recommend being a social butterfly to start and to build a network that can later feed your business. You may have to start off small and do some things on the arm but patience pays off. If our city could improve anything it would be…. the traffic 🙂
