Today we’d like to introduce you to Choric Lumina.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I landed in Los Angeles after years of living as a vagabond and busking playing shows and making my MU recycled clothing for cash. About eight years ago, I got my engine fixed in Inglewood and started life! You would find me at flea markets and vending my MU installation at parties loaded with hand made accessories, art, custom clothes, and choice thrift… I have gone to school for finance in the valley now and hosted a local rock band across the Los Angeles area called CLLC; Choric Lumina and the Light Crusaders for many years. It was a dream I never thought I would do to play Rock n Roll as a lead singer/songwriter.
Thru the years I have graduated into sound engineering and music production and it has made so much music and art come alive! I am currently finishing some music that will be on Spotify this year I currently have one single and soon more will show up these releases will reflect my electronic sounds as a music producer. Los Angeles has involved me in modeling and I even acted in an Indie film the city has given me a great love and treasure and has made me a family of artists so much more to create!
Please tell us about your art.
I hold a trunk show called MU Reconstruction and love to design costumes and clothes! It has given me an original edge and helped me stand out and others express their style and uniqueness I search sales flea markets and different places to find one of a kind materials. I started as a singer and formulated a name Choric Lumina to reflect an anagram of my real name we found that translates to chorus of light. I found the name mystical and decided to own it! I have slowly gotten into many genres and have many years experience just performing folk music tho now with all my years In the programs and rock n roll dreams coming true I have taken a step back and am working on house, dnb, and pop music and will soon have some releases to share! My music and art likes to reflect and share originality unique styles making people feel one of a kind! I sing play and create now on many instruments and I see myself composing vibrations that help me stay up and stay positive and focused. I’m hoping to share positive vibrations with the world giving people introspection clarity positivity and loving vibrations to feel alive and feel opulence and anticipation for life.
Given everything that is going on in the world today, do you think the role of artists has changed? How do local, national or international events and issues affect your art?
I feel like there is something for everyone now in the music world. It’s all about aligning with your crew your family some people drop you or say you aren’t great but then all. These other people come in and will love you and give your respect! I think it’s all. About finding your sound and not being afraid to find the scene that resonates with you and all. Of that comes to getting out there and meeting people. And making community occur which I have seen some amazing things in my life and would never take back the experience!
