Hi Chocolate Girl Eats, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Food and theatre have always been my first loves. I grew up watching Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern, and I was obsessed! He got to travel, eat different foods, meet people from all over the world—and get paid for it! I remember thinking, ” Yup,that’s the dream!”
I ended up earning a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Arts, but I never let go of my love for food. One day, it just clicked—what if I combined the two? That’s how Chocolate Girl Eats was born.
Now I run a cosplay mukbang channel where I have the best of both worlds. I get to dress up as different pop culture icons & eat some tasty food while doing it! I’m a one-woman show handling everything from filming to editing to promoting—and I love it. It hasn’t always been easy, But over time, I found my voice and my audience—my Chocoholics—who remind me every day that being original and thinking outside-the-box is what sets me apart! I’ve built a brand that’s real, funny, and all me and I’m just getting started.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Smooth? Ha! This road has potholes, detours, and no GPS!
Being a one-woman team has been one of the biggest challenges. I do everything myself—filming, editing, thumbnail creation, titling, promoting, social media… all of it. At times it can be overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to stay consistent and creative at the same time.
There were also moments where I doubted myself. This space can feel saturated, and it’s easy to wonder if people will really “get” what you’re doing—especially when you’re mixing cosplay, food, and conversation. But I had to learn to stop doubting myself and to trust that there’s power in originality.
And of course, let’s not forget the algorithm struggle! One day your content is poppin’, the next day it’s crickets. But I’ve learned to focus less on numbers and more on connection. I may not have the biggest following, but I have a loyal, engaged tribe—my Chocoholics—who ride with me no matter what, and that means everything to me.
So yeah, it isn’t always smooth. But every bump in the road was a lesson, and I wouldn’t trade the journey for anything.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m the creator behind Chocolate Girl Eats—a cosplay mukbang channel where I dress up as different pop culture icons, dive into some mouthwatering (sometimes not so mouthwatering) meals, and have the kind of conversations that’ll have my audience, who I call my chocoholics, yearning for more.
But it’s more than just food, costumes and conversations for me. I create an experience. I want people to escape the “real world” and feel seen, heard, and fed—literally and emotionally.
I feel like I don’t just film content—I perform it. I bring characters to life, I tell stories, and I make a space for the weird, the different, and the bold. My channel is unpredictable in the best way, and I stay true to myself every step of the way. I’m not following a trend—I am the trend. I don’t rely on shock value or copying what’s already out there. I bring performance, storytelling, and heart to every single video. Even if you came for the food, you’re staying for the experience and once you see what I have to offer you’ll want to come back for more and more.
Im so proud that I’ve ALWAYS done things my own way. Recently, I won The Mete And I Award for “Best Mukbang Channel,” which was wild and emotional, because I’ve always felt like the underdog. So to be recognized? That was a moment. It’s proof that staying true to yourself works.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck? Whew… I’d say luck shows up only after I’ve done the work.
I’ve had moments where things aligned at the perfect time—someone shared a video, a brand reached out, or I got an unexpected boost when I really needed it. But those moments only hit because I was already grinding behind the scenes. Luck might open the door, but I still have to walk through it, in costume, with a plate of wings!
I’ve also had my fair share of bad luck—technical failures, content flops, missed opportunities—but I try to take the L’s as lessons. They keep me creative, hungry, and grounded.
So yeah, luck plays a role, but I don’t rely solely on it. I like to create my own magic… and sometimes the universe throws me out a bone or two.
