Meet Chloe Brown of Fresh Paint Art Advisors in Culver City Arts District

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe Brown.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Chloe. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Growing up in a family with avid art collectors, I always knew my future would be in the art world. Shortly after graduating from UC Irvine in 2010, I came to work at Fresh Paint. With the guidance and mentorship of my mother, who is the Principal art advisor at Fresh Paint, I have developed myself to become the Senior advisor I am today. I am proud to say that Fresh Paint is a Certified Women Owned Business that has developed noteworthy hospitality projects around the world. Working and establishing relationships with 400+ artists over the past 39 years has given me the platform to continue the legacy of Fresh Paint with the newer generation of interior designers, art consultants, and art lovers.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I am a big advocate for growth and personal development. With that said, I believe that obstacles and challenges are unavoidable. I know that the challenges that I have had to face during my career has given me the experience to be confident and well prepared for each new project I am awarded.

I feel grateful that I have the opportunity to work with my family and know that no matter what, we will always support each other through the obstacles and challenges. This support has helped me get through the tougher times and see a larger perspective on what we are committed to as a team and company.

Please tell us about Fresh Paint Art Advisors.
With 30+ years of experience, our business philosophy is about a deep connection with both the artist community and with our clients. Our unparalleled roster of artists allows us to look further in aligning the perfect artist(s) with any given project.

Our team’s combined experience is what I am most proud of. We can come together to work on any given project to provide the best art direction for each client. We don’t really believe in the 9-5 work day but rather have a commitment to our clients to collaborate and support them with their needs. I believe our honesty and integrity over the past 39 years reflects strongly when looking at the long-standing relationships we have with both artists and clients. In a business-minded world, I think this truly sets us apart and makes me the most proud.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from my childhood is playing in the backyard with my sister for hours at a time. We both had creative and wild imaginations to turn our backyard into the ultimate theme park. I remember one day at dinner, we proposed confidently to our parents about our idea to have a rollercoaster built. We had the idea of where the track would layout, how it would wind around all the obstacles in the background and without a doubt, we knew this could be done. In the end, of course, we never got our rollercoaster. This is my favorite memory because I can remember like yesterday the freedom my mind had to be creative and think of ideas without any constraints.
