Today we’d like to introduce you to Chirag Shah and Matt Williamson.
Chirag and Matt, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
We started Accesa Health to help people solve their everyday health problems with high-quality service in a model that provides upfront and transparent pricing. We focused on truly listening to our customers and providing great and timely service. In doing so, we found that other needs and opportunities for improvement existed in the larger context of delivering health care services at a reasonable cost. We ironed out some of our operational needs and saw that we could serve a much broader community needing health care services online, and, from that Accesa Labs and Push Health was launched. We have now served over 100,000 people through these businesses, all without accepting $1 of reimbursement from health insurance companies.
Has it been a smooth road?
At the onset, we were marketing health care services with a cash-only model in an environment where 90% of all healthcare transactions were paid for by insurance. But we knew those insurance based transactions were full of friction and inefficiencies. Since about half of our customers had insurance, we needed to show folks that our service fits their needs and that we delivered real value. Initially, many people were surprised that they could pay cash for our services and still get great care at a good value when all the middle-men were removed.

We provide high-quality healthcare services that help people meet their health goals. We offer IV vitamin hydration, B-12 shots, weight loss programs, immunizations, TB testing, physical exams, lab testing and a number of other services. We’re known for having excellent customer service, short wait times and transparent pricing. Accesa Health is driven by the mission to make health care simpler and more affordable. We know the fear and struggle around getting quality health care is real- we feel it both professionally and personally – and we focus on making strides every day to make it better.
