Meet Chelsy Clicks of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsy Clicks

Hi Chelsy, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always been drawn to creative expression, beginning with nine years as a competitive dancer in tap, jazz, and lyrical, along with playing volleyball in Minnesota. This foundation instilled in me a deep appreciation for movement, balance, and storytelling. My first introduction to photography came through a college elective that piqued my interest, but it wasn’t until this past year that I fully embraced it. What started as capturing my own Instagram content through self-photography has since evolved into a true passion, allowing me to explore and refine my artistic vision behind the lens.

In 2016, I moved to Phoenix, where I worked as a waitress, in bottle service, and as a personal assistant—roles that sharpened my resilience, adaptability, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Later, in Las Vegas, I immersed myself in the world of freelance modeling, arts, and music, appearing in music videos and working on creative projects that pushed my artistic boundaries. I even learned how to DJ, further expanding my creative expression and deepening my understanding of storytelling through different ways.

My journey into photography has been anything but conventional, and that’s what makes my work so unique. With a background spanning dance, modeling, music, and even working as an executive assistant, I’ve learned resilience, adaptability, and the power of creative expression. Moving to Los Angeles gave me the space to fully embrace my passion, turning it into a thriving business where I get to do what I love—helping others see and celebrate their true beauty.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped who I am today. When I was 11, I experienced a heartbreaking loss—my only sibling, my brother Ransom, was killed in a car accident that wasn’t his fault. That tragedy taught me at a very young age how precious and fragile life is. It gave me a deeper understanding of the importance of cherishing each moment and living authentically.

Professionally, the path to finding my passion in photography wasn’t linear. It involved moments of doubt, working jobs that didn’t fulfill me, and taking risks to move to new cities. But each setback and challenge led me closer to the life I’m building now, and I wouldn’t change a thing. Every step of the journey has been a lesson, and it’s all contributed to the person and artist I’ve become.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
What sets me apart is my ability to create more than just beautiful photos—I create an experience. With a deep love for art and a background that spans dance, modeling, and music, I bring a unique perspective to my work. But beyond the creativity, it’s my connection with people that truly defines my photography. I listen, I see, and I make sure every client feels valued, confident, and effortlessly radiant. My goal? To capture their essence in the most authentic, beautiful way possible—because everyone deserves to see how stunning they truly are!

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I’ve been fortunate to have a strong support system that’s played a huge role in my journey. My parents in Minnesota have always been unwavering in their belief in me, supporting my crazy dreams and every big move I’ve made across the country. They’ve encouraged me to follow my heart, no matter where it leads.

In Las Vegas, my best friends Masey and Kelsey have been my second home, providing constant love, encouragement, and a sense of belonging when I needed it most. They’ve been there through thick and thin, offering invaluable support and reminding me of my worth every step of the way.

Beyond my immediate circle, I’ve had countless people come in and out of my life who have taught me invaluable lessons. Each one has helped deepen my love, strengthen my character, and inspire me to keep growing and doing better. I’m truly grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey.

Within my immediate circle, I’ve made mistakes, but one thing I’ve always stayed true to is my authenticity. No matter what, I’ve strived to remain genuine and transparent with the people I care about. Being real with myself and those around me has been key to building strong, lasting relationships and staying grounded throughout my journey.
