Today we’d like to introduce you to Chanel Mack
Hi Chanel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?

Mack reprised her role as Sherise in the highly anticipated third season of ALLBLK’s supernatural drama Wicked City and also stars in the BET+ original film Fighting to Be Me: The Dwen Curry Story, which aired February 2025.
With a growing and diverse body of work, Chanel Mack continues to cement her place as a formidable talent blending artistry, versatility, and undeniable screen presence.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The journey of an actress is rarely straightforward; it’s a winding path filled with both challenges and triumphs that shape our craft and essence. My experience has been a tapestry woven with joy and struggle, particularly in facing my asthma, which has occasionally clouded my pursuit. Each labored breath has only fortified my spirit and determination to rise above limitations.
Setbacks have taught me tenacity, reminding me that the most memorable performances come from deep experience. I’ve grappled with doubt and rejection and faced times when the spotlight felt out of reach. Yet, these obstacles have enriched my artistry and deepened my love for the craft and the audience.
So, has it been a smooth road? Not at all. Each struggle with my health has added depth to my journey, creating a narrative uniquely mine. Through it all, I embrace fighting for my dreams while savoring every fleeting moment along the way.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m an actress and storyteller, and from a young age, acting has always been my one true passion. I specialize in bringing characters to life, whether it’s through the powerful drama of a series or the real-life inspiration of a biopic. I’m most well-known for my role as Sherise in the AllBlk original series Wicked City, which ran for three successful seasons. I’m also recognized for my role in the BET+ movie Fighting to Be Me: The Dwen Curry Story, which has allowed me to share an impactful story with a larger audience.
Although I’m grateful for the accolades and the opportunities I’ve had in my acting career, I’m most proud of my role as an acting teacher at Barbizon. Guiding the next generation of performers, helping them unlock their potential, and watching them grow gives me so much joy. It’s a privilege to pass on the knowledge and experience I’ve gained throughout my journey.
What sets me apart from others is the belief that my gifts and blessings aren’t just for me—they’re meant to be shared with others. I use what I’ve learned to uplift those around me, especially aspiring actors, and it’s this mentality that drives everything I do. My focus is on the bigger picture, using my platform to help others rise alongside me. That’s what truly makes me unique.
So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
