Today we’d like to introduce you to Cece Ro.
Hi Cece, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started singing at the age of two and from there, I joined the choir + theater in elementary school. In middle school, I started my poetry journey and took a class on it. High school, I was in advanced choir + theater. Nowadays, I take dance classes & violin lessons to sharpen my skills in burlesque performances. My downtime consists of oil painting, yoga, meditation, and songwriting.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As much as I would love to say it’s been easy pursuing this path, it has not been and in fact the road has been more than challenging being outcasted from family and ridiculed by so-called friends/lovers to being SA and homeless twice. The journey has been a huge learning experience that I do not take for granted nor do I regret the people I have had to let go of during this stretch. Nonetheless, I will not give up!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am predominantly focused on perfecting my craft more than anything and I specialize in attention to detail when it comes to that.
The people have said I’m most known for my comedic spirit matched with my big house singing and lively dance moves!
I’m most proud of my ability to keep thriving and my song “Love me crazy”.
I feel my heart & soul for community is what sets me apart from others and that is showcased in my lyricism.
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I’m just here for nature all around. My birthday is Earth Day, and it’s all very fitting spiritually ✨✨✨🦋
I hate that people treat the planet like their oyster of a dumpster.
