Meet Caue Chagas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caue Chagas.

Caue Chagas

Hi Caue, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My adventure started in Brazil’s countryside when I fell deeply in love with self-expression and creativity. Drawing inspiration from animated movies such as “The Incredibles,” I developed an early passion for animation and design. I began a Minecraft-focused YouTube channel when I was 14 years old, using internet tutorials to teach me 3D graphics, motion design, and video editing. I relocated to Orlando to attend Full Sail University, determined to pursue a career in the arts. I developed my expertise in graphic design, 2D and 3D motion design, and image manipulation there. My enthusiasm for design was further stoked by the collaborative work atmosphere at Full Sail, which enabled me to work on team projects and collaborate with other creatives.

Finding work in the cutthroat entertainment sector after graduation was difficult for me, particularly in Brazil, where the creative scene is less developed. I decided to move to Orlando because I thought there were more prospects in the United States.

My professional experience has been one of development and learning ever since. Together with my Full Sail colleagues, I have contributed to several short films that highlight my animation and design abilities. Every assignment has served as a springboard for me to hone my skills and express my creativity.

I am pleased with myself today for having made a name for myself as a talented and committed artist who strives for perfection in my work. My journey has been filled with setbacks and victories, but my love of art and storytelling has never wavered. I can’t wait to pursue my artistic goals of pushing the envelope of innovation and leaving a lasting impression on the entertainment industry.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My path has been characterized by both easy and difficult routes. Lack of formal training and resources in the early phases of my artistic development was one of my first challenges. It was quite difficult for me to start a YouTube channel at the age of 14 since I had to teach myself difficult skills like motion design and video editing. Moving to Orlando to attend college presented its own set of challenges, including adapting to a new culture and educational system. Additionally, breaking into the competitive entertainment industry, both in Brazil and the United States, required perseverance and dedication.

Another obstacle was money, particularly when it came to taking advantage of opportunities that needed costly software or equipment. But every obstacle pushed me to gain new abilities and come up with original solutions, so it was all a learning experience.

Despite these difficulties, I have been inspired to overcome barriers and keep following my dreams through my passion for art and storytelling.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
With an emphasis on motion graphics, 2D and 3D animation, and graphic design, my area of expertise is digital art and design. My work combines technical proficiency, storytelling passion, and inventiveness. I have a reputation for producing visually stunning, captivating content that people find engaging. I aim to produce work that is visually appealing and meaningful, whether it’s through deft motion graphics, compelling animations, or striking designs.

Working on a short video with my Full Sail University colleagues is one of my most proud projects. It was a team project that gave me the chance to demonstrate my animation and design abilities while adding to a more expansive creative vision.

What distinguishes me from others is my distinct artistic viewpoint and approach. I’m constantly searching for fresh approaches to push the envelope and produce genuinely unique work. I try to include storytelling and emotion in everything I make because I think that art is about more than just technique.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up in Brazil, soccer was more than just a sport for me – it was a way of life. From a young age, I was deeply passionate about playing soccer, spending countless hours on the field honing my skills and dreaming of becoming a professional player. Soccer taught me invaluable lessons about teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, shaping my character and instilling in me a drive to constantly improve. Aside from my love for soccer, I was also a creative and imaginative child. I spent much of my time drawing, painting, and creating things, fueled by a fascination with art and animation. This passion for creativity and storytelling eventually led me to pursue a career in animation and design, where I could bring my imaginative visions to life.

Personality-wise, I was curious and eager to learn, always exploring new ideas and trying out new things. I was determined and focused, especially when pursuing my interests, and I would work tirelessly to achieve my goals. My love for sports and art, along with these personality traits, have played a significant role in shaping who I am today.
