Today we’d like to introduce you to Candace Johnston.
Candace, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started as a young kid wanting to make a difference in my community. By the age of 11, I had my own non-profit organization. It really does take a village to raise a child and now that I’m older, I’m doing everything I can to build up and give back. Just with the ambition in my body, I am hungry for opportunities and took the leap when I saw fit.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road has been far from smooth. I have been told the entire way that I was going to fail by some of the closest people to me, which was one of the hardest struggles to deal with. I went through a lot of trial periods where some things worked and some didn’t. That was challenging just because there’s a chance nothing could work, which is terrifying.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Candy Girl Boutique and Limitless Enterprises – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
I currently have two companies, an online clothing boutique and an ATM business. Both are two very different industries but both are very uniquely customized to me and what I value most. As a company, I am known for building strong relationships with each client to know what works for them. I am most proud of the fact that my businesses exist. As a 20 years old business-woman, I stand here amazed with the progress of both companies.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love the variety of cultures here. You can try foods and meet people from all over the world. I am a big foodie, so trust me when I say I love trying all this new food! What I least like is how big homelessness is. I always try to help lessen the problem by volunteering and doing as much as I can, but as a community we need to come together and change some lives.
