Meet Camille Leon of Holistic Chamber of Commerce

Today we’d like to introduce you to Camille Leon.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My grandmother had a stroke. My mother had a double mastectomy. I was working in Type A high-stress downtown LA at the corner of 5th and Figueroa.

When I asked my co-workers for referrals to an Acupuncturist, they didn’t know why I would want one or pay for health care that isn’t covered by insurance. I saw a gap in awareness, education and access to quality natural and holistic healthcare products and services and the professionals who provide them.

Eventually, I left that job to start something of my own… That something morphed into what is now an online directory and an international network of live, local chapters and members who participate in a chapter, online or both.

Has it been a smooth road?
Lions and tigers and bears, oh, my! The results I expected didn’t come nearly as quickly as imagined and it has taken more time to massage the details as we have grown. Plus, the level of software and technology to support our scalability is fairly advanced. How do we keep up with it all, especially as we attract more attention (which we love)?

Some of the struggles are not very sexy… Still, the results and rewards are encouraging and exciting!

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Holistic Chamber of Commerce – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
What the Holistic Chamber of Commerce does: We increase awareness, education and access to natural and holistic wellness products and services offered through our network of quality reference-reviewed professional members, and the like-minded business support professionals who support the business end of helping and healing others.

Additionally, we support live, local chapters where members can network and brainstorm with insights and ideas about reaching new customers, clients and patients. We specialize in creating connections and collaborations for the holistic community. We are known for our commitment to this cause and community, and for representing quality in this market niche.

What sets the HCC apart from others is our trifecta approach. We include an online directory (like Angie’s List), a network of local chapters (like Rotary) and members-only business-building education and discounts (like a trade organization).

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
There are so many things I love about L.A., starting with the pleasure of living in a city named after angels.

The variety of creative and playful activities is wonderful and the easy access to travel options at LAX and Burbank are an extra perk.

Not so much, the traffic… Did I mention the delicious food in our amazing restaurants?
