Meet Camille and Jackie Brady of Cami and Jax in Santa Monica

Today we’d like to introduce you to Camille and Jackie Brady.

Camille and Jackie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Growing up between Malibu and Kauai meant that we were always immersed in the beach lifestyle of all things swim and surf. Graduating with degrees in design and marketing was the perfect foundation to begin CAMI AND JAX. Shortly after launching CAMI AND JAX we opened the doors to our first Brick + Mortar on the upscale street of Montana Ave in Santa Monica. This location elevated our brand and gave us a strong presence in LA and in the swim industry!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
As life has it, there’s always been ups and downs. Our biggest struggles finding out who we are as a brands and our customer. In the beginning we were designing for everyone and that meant that our branding was a bit diluted in a sense. We quickly learned that we needed to tone in on a niche market. Our designs now reflect a cohesive collection that cater to our CAMI AND JAX woman.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with CAMI AND JAX – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
It is a great thing when two minds can complement one another and fill in the blanks when needed. We cover all the bases with both of our specializations and educations. Growing up as professional surfers had a grand impact on our design aesthetic catering it in the direction of athleticism with a fashion forward flair.

It’s incredibly humbling earning recognition from celebrities, major fashion magazines, and renowned stylists. However, our proudest moments come from being the go-to swimwear hub in LA for women and girls of all ages.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The future of CAMI AND JAX is bright. Having full control over every aspect of our company gives us the power to pick and choose the direction of where we want this to go. We value our exclusivity and take great pride in everything being in-house between the two of us.

We foresee us branching out into more retailers and potentially opening up more CAMI AND JAX boutiques.
