Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Boyd.
Brooke, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I moved to Los Angeles, CA six years ago from St. Louis, MO to pursue a dance career. Since I was young, I’ve always taken an interest in and expressed myself through different forms of art. I didn’t expect to start a crystal wrapping business but some things will find you at just the right time.
Most of us are introduced to crystals through knowing our birthstones. I just decided to take it a little further. Lol. I’ve always taken an interest in crystals and wanted to keep them around for personal use. I quickly realized that the most practical way for me to do this was to make jewelry for myself. After creating a few pieces a dear friend of mine encouraged me to start a business of my own and The LunaBeam Collective began.
Since the start of my business, I’ve learned more about myself and what I have to offer this world. I am happy to continue to learn more on this journey as the years go by.
Has it been a smooth road?
I believe that anything worth earning will not be as easy to achieve. That’s what makes it special and dear to heart. Owning a small business gives room for variables all the time. There’s always something new to learn, a fresh idea, a new level.
I had to learn a lot about building a business. I didn’t have anyone to really “teach” me what road to take so I researched and applied what I learned. I’m grateful for the knowledge I’ve gained and looked forward to continuing my journey.
I can say that it has been an awesome enlightening experience.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into The LunaBeam Collective story. Tell us more about the business.
The LunaBeam Collective is a crystal shop of wire wrapped jewelry and soon roll-on crystal fragrance and candles.
All things on this Earth have energy. I create my pieces to use the crystals as a way to boost the energy you already have inside. I take special care and time to create each piece by hand. Putting my love and energy into what I make for you is important because creating is special to me and I’m happy to share it with you.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The crystal business has been around for much longer than we think. I believe there will always be a place for crystals and businesses like mine.
In the next 5-10 years, I hope to be retired somewhere in a beautiful part of the world with several LunaBeam Collective Boutiques. Everyone needs a little Luna in their lives.
