Meet Britt’Nee Cornelius of Bees Mobile Spa

Today we’d like to introduce you to Britt’Nee Cornelius.

Britt’Nee, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’ve been a Massage Therapist since 2012, and honestly, when I became a massage therapist this was just something temporary until I figured out exactly what I wanted to do. Shortly after becoming a therapist I was in an accident (nothing too major but enough to cause discomfort) and I remember going to a chiropractor’s office and getting different treatments from physical therapy to massage and I saw how much the massages really made me feel better.

So after that, a light bulb came on in my head, I figured it out. I didn’t want to just work at a fancy spa anymore just pampering people I wanted to actually make a difference, help others that felt like I felt or worse get back to themselves or maintain their pain. So I started working at Dr’s office giving therapeutic massages on patients that had different medical conditions, that were in car accidents, work accidents, etc. Fast forward a few years later I loved what I was doing but it wasn’t enough and also when you work for someone else you don’t have the freedom of doing things how you want, making your own schedule, etc. So I started thinking I wanted my own business and in 2014 I made it happen, Bees Mobile Spa was born.

Has it been a smooth road?
As much as I would love to say it’s been a smooth road it has not. There are times business is slow, there’s no money coming in but life still goes on and bills must be paid. That’s when I sit and think Britt’Nee what have you gotten yourself into. Then other times when I see how much I’ve helped a client and they tell me how I appreciate, or just having the freedom of creating my own schedule being able to travel and do things I probably never would have done if I only worked for someone else and that’s when I think this is one of the best choices I ever made.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Bees Mobile Spa – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
Bees Mobile Spa is just that, a mobile spa that will come to you right in the comfort of your own home or desired location. We offer several different services from our many different massage modalities, cupping therapy which can be done for many reasons but the most common being to eliminate pain and create better blood circulation, and our most requested the Bees Royal Treatment. This treatment combines a full-body sugar scrub followed by a full-body mud wrap that removes dead skin, toxins, improves impurities and more.

What sets Bees Mobile Spa aside from others is that we offer multiple different quality services compared to the majority of other mobile spas. I am most proud of the growth of Bees Mobile Spa. So much has changed since 2014, from the amount of clients to the many different services now offered and even the knowledge I’ve gained. I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love that there are so many opportunities to grow as an individual and as a business in Los Angeles. I dislike the traffic here, there is nothing I hate more than the 405 and having to leave hours early to get to a client that is only 20 minutes away but with traffic that 20 minutes turns into and hour or more.
