Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Anderson.
Hi Brittany, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am 35 years old and I am from San Diego, California. How I started my modeling career? Growing up, I was kind of insecure with my body; I didn’t feel comfortable wearing shorts or sandals. I started watching Top Model with Tyra Banks she was such a great inspiration for me because I learned from her you have to love yourself first and be confident just the way God created you. Tyra Banks show Top Model gave me inspiration, so when the show was traveling and came to San Diego, I decided to apply with no modeling experience at all. I never did a professional photoshoot and or even a catwalk I was so nervous. I believe at this time, it was the CW network doing the casting for the show this was the first time cameras was on me and I had to catwalk for anyone. I was nervous but I did it and I loved it this was the beginning of my modeling journey.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My modeling career has not been a smooth road along the way because you have to apply yourself. You have to work harder than others especially being a beginner and starting with no experience. In the modeling industry, you may get a lot of No’s but that one Yes can change everything in your life and for your career. A challenging struggle along the way was staying consistent even when some jobs or castings did not work out for me and they told me No I kinda got discouraged but I kept going and pushing…
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an experienced Model who is now known for my creative art. I started my own business www.toothgems2020.com It’s temporary cosmetic tooth jewelry other known as ToothGems that lasts on your teeth for about 3-6 months. It’s pretty popular and it gives you that special confidence when you smile. I am a Registered Dental Assistant and this is something I just picked up about two years ago. What I am most proud of is establishing my own brand and business and just being able to connect with new people. What sets me apart from others is my uniqueness and Love for others.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Any advice I can give to someone who is just starting out in the modeling or acting industry is just to stay focused and to stay trying no matter what even if someone doesn’t wanna work with you and you get a couple of those if you just stay consistent people will get familiar with your face people will get familiar of who you are and someone will give you a chance. If there was anything that I knew when I was starting out the first thing would be to invest in yourself invest in professional photos, invest in comp cards because it really makes a difference in your career.
