Meet Brian Molina of Home Brewed Bar in Pasadena

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brian Molina.

Brian, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Opened up 3 years ago to introduce a new way of enjoying tea and coffee while creating a welcoming and familiar place. I wanted to apply my bar and mixology experience to drinks that are meant for all ages and bring that Happy Hour feel to our everyday fix. The plan has always been to create a place that focused on being genuinely friendly while making great tasting drinks as quick as possible.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We’ve been fortunate to have a smooth road. Like most start-ups, having enough capital to do everything you want to do is a struggle, but with a little patience, hard work and serendipity, that struggle can be conquered.

Please tell us about Home Brewed Bar.
We specialize in cold brew teas and coffees. We are known for an expansive menu ranging from simple coffee drinks to delicious flavored Toddy Lattes. Toddy, which is our signature Cold Brew, is used instead of espresso, thus making a less acidic and bitter drink while blending and melding flavors harmoniously. We have 8 different types of tea bases, all cold brewed, to make ice teas, hot teas and milk teas. We are unique in that we specialize in cold brew are able to make an awesome array of different drinks.

Most proud that we are delivering great drink AND great service. That is what sets us apart from others. We work to make sure the guest experience is amazing by offering genuine, courteous service and awesome, customizable drinks.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have acquired more investments so that I could purchase the equipment that would deliver our products in a more efficient and beautiful way.
