Meet Bret Green

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bret Green.

Bret, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I moved to LA in 2013 to be an actor. Within six months, I signed with Abrams Artists and in another six months, I booked my first series regular role on the CBS series THE INSPECTORS. After four seasons of filming in Charleston, SC I moved back to LA and started a side business, Bret Green Photography.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Not necessarily. I was fortunate enough to move to LA with some money in my pocket from a previous career, but that money didn’t last long. When I booked my first series, I had $400 to my name and was barely able to pay rent each month. Even after being on a series for four seasons, it’s still challenging to find work and continue to hone my craft.

We’d love to hear more about your work and what you are currently focused on. What else should we know?
I am an actor and photographer. I specialize in portrait photography and work as an actor primarily in TV

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would probably have forgone college and moved to LA sooner. There is a premium on youth in this business and I think starting at a younger age would have allowed me to get a head start on my training and make more connections. Then again, a lot of young actors flame out because they get caught up in the wrong crowd, so maybe it all worked out the way it was supposed to.
