Meet Bradley Goldman of Be Strong Stay Fit in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bradley Goldman.

Bradley, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I got into fitness when I was about 15 years old. I was the skinny kid all of my life and was tired of barely filling out an Abercrombie extra small shirt. Somewhere in my late teens I really found a love for lifting. I was infatuated with getting bigger! Fitness not only became a hobby at this point but it was my life.

I joined a more “serious” gym and started to find my own path within the industry. In my early 20’s, my hard work had really started to show and take notice and at this point I was hooked. Since then, I have competed in multiple NPC shows as a body builder, I’ve worked for companies such as Pro Supps LLC, Visalus and my most noteworthy moment in my fitness career was shooting with the legendary Michael Neveux last year.

Be Strong Stay Fit actually came about after getting my first salary proposal out of college. I went back to school in my mid-twenties to get my degree in communications with a minor in marketing all while training a couple clients here and there to pay the bills. I was offered a position at a company that a friend had worked at and was told I’d be given a decent salary.

Needless to say, the salary was what I was currently making running a part time personal training business and I decided to not to pursue the 9-5 life. Three years later and Be Strong Stay Fit has evolved from a one man personal training business to a multifaceted business model that only continues to grow.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Far from smooth. Running your own business has it’s learning curve. Trying to be a one-man show is difficult especially when you’re first starting up. Trying to manage finances, the service provided and be customer support it’s a lot to take on. This doesn’t include the fact that they never tell you to “keep enough in savings” for the slow times and man, that is a tough lesson to learn.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Be Strong Stay Fit – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Be Strong Stay Fit is a personal training and nutrition consulting company. We are best known for our body transformations form “fat to fit” without starving out our clients. Our approach to nutrition is sustainability and that’s what sets us apart from the rest. The biggest problem in my opinion of the “diet” and “fitness” industry nowadays is that everyone just wants a quick fix. Once they reach their goal they revert right back to their old ways and lose all the progress they’ve made. With Be Strong Stay Fit you work with a team that designs a program custom tailored to you so that you’re not jumping on a quick “diet bandwagon” but rather you’re making a lifestyle change.

What am I most proud of, I’d have to say I’m most proud of my clients that set out goals for themselves, reach them and then seek out bigger goals that they’ve never even dreamed of. The ability to give someone the confidence they need to propel themselves towards their dreams is priceless and I can confidently say that with some of the transformations we’ve done we’ve seen our clients reach that level of certainty in themselves.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The future is very exciting for Be Strong Stay Fit. Myself, I’m getting married this year to my beautiful fiancé which means a family in the not so distant future. With that being said, it’s time for me to work towards a lifestyle that will be more family friendly that lets me be less hands on. I don’t want to divulge too much but a studio that hasn’t been done in the fitness industry yet might be in the works…
