Founder Owner & CEO of Inside Out Restorative Spa
Bonita Smith is an I-ACT certified Colon Hydro-Therapist with years of experience. Along with being a member of the national board of colon hydro-therapists, Bonita has a BA in Social Work and an Associates Degree in Interdisciplinary studies – she has years of experience as a surgical technician and is skilled in infectious control & UltraSound (Anatomy).
Bonita was led to the holistic field while assisting her mother’s healing process when she was diagnosed with cancer (Leukemia). After studying many modalities, Bonita discovered colon cleansing and later became a certified colon therapist. She saw a need for her services in the African American community and wanted to reach as many individuals as possible with education and knowledge that may otherwise have been inaccessible due to lack of funding.
Bonita’s objective is to empower and educate everyone from all walks of life about the importance of eating healthy, exercising regularly, meditating and taking control of one’s life with “Self Care” and or love for the mind, body and spirit. Along with helping others, Bonita enjoys interior decorating, traveling, listening to music, meditating, and being an active part of her community.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With every aspiration, every dream there are obstacles and challenges, however those two ingredients gave rise to a level of strength that would rise up inside of me each time I felt overwhelmed. Throughout this journey, my soul would not give out. It’s as if I reached down into a realm so deep within me to rise up! It’s very emotional the path that; I am on everyday. An emotion that for me is tangible! The fight is tangible and lifts my feet to move.
Even with COVID-19 showing up almost immediately after the grand opening of Inside Out Restorative Spa and our mandate to shut the doors. This created an immediate challenge as it relates to finances. However, there was a demand inside of my soul, not to give up and to remain relevant, while safeguarding my staff and to shift and move with these challenging times and changes in not just my region but the entire country.

The Inside Out Restorative Spa team is comprised of qualified health specialists ready to put their energy and skills towards helping you reach your goals. Everyone at our center believes in establishing an energy balance and flow in the chakras and energetic field of the body. Our team is curated from the best possible wellness therapists in the world. All of our staff is I-ACT certified and trained to the highest standard. Inside Out Restorative Spa features Holistic, Health and Wellness Services in a Spa setting, including: Colon Hydrotherapy, Lymphatic Drainage, Full Body Detox, Yoni Steaming, and Ionic Foot Bath.
In addition to wellness services, Inside Out Spa offers Add On Signature Services that include: Infrared Body Wrap, Far-Infrared (FIR) Sauna, Amethyst Bio-Mat & Belt, Castor Oil and Guided Meditation. Aspire to see our customers thrive – be healthy and live their best lives!

Not to mention the fact that; this business was birthed out of watching my mother go through challenges that in some aspects could have been supported by a healthier understanding and the knowledge of Holistic Health Care Solutions that could have supported her living longer.
Inside Out Restorative spa was birthed out of my heart’s concern for educating and serving, and assisting others to live a more productive life by understanding their path to “Health & Wellness”.
