Meet Billyracxx

Today we’d like to introduce you to Billyracxx.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started music about five years ago. Never wanted to be a gimmick or just a spawn of another rapper so I quickly embraced every element of art that comes with expressing myself from the beginning of my career. I was an alien in my city immediately. So my come up since then has been trailblazing. As of right now, I am probably one of the most mainstream capable independent artists in the world. So everyday is about building on to that vision in my own unique way.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
My road has been up and down, but very trailblazing, Im one of the most unorthodox artist out right now so nothing about my come up has been typical. I’ve been offered shit deals by a good amount of the top labels, but at the same time I’ve worked with some of the top artists in Europe, and Latin America, I’ve been featured in the Fader, Source, PaperMag, Office Mag, etc. and even performed at the BET Awards all as an independent artist. Me growing up in the same part of Texas as Travis Scott, I’m forced to see how far we can take it. My voice has similar reach, so that tells me my road is far from complete.

Please tell us about Billyracxx.
Billyracxx is not just an artist, it is a brand. I can be marketing in numerous mediums, in numerous markets because I represent something way more than just rap. The way I’m able to get my point across through visuals gives me great joy because it makes my vision more timeless.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
The proudest moment of my career was realizing I have a real European fan base. I grew that with no label or advertising/marketing budget.
