Today we’d like to introduce you to Bexx Jones & Terry Crosby.
Bexx, Terry, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Entertaining is in my blood. Having grown up with a mother who entertained all the time and a father who owned a chain of restaurants entertaining and cooking for people comes very naturally to me. Having been a singer entertainer performing in rock bands and Vegas shows, I have a talent for bringing people together with emphasis on Food and Music.
Several years ago we learned about private supper clubs being all the rage in NY. I thought I’d start a supper club since everyone always wanted to come and eat and hang out in the garden. Being a singer, people were always asking where we were performing, so I thought I’d incorporate the two. I’d put together a themed dinner and perform. After doing this for a while, people suggested I open it up to the public. We’re going into our fourth year with 5 stars on yelp and growing steadily every year.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Since we chose to grow slowly and organically we’ve been able to work out the kinks without any real struggles and without compromising quality of experience for our clients and guest. We are very boutique, and keep a low profile, since we have many Industry celebrities that want their privacy.

I have 3 services that can be booked separately or all at once at our venue “Bexx Secret Garden”, all under our corporate name, UNIVAYA, Inc. My husband and I own UNIVAYA. The 3 services are:

We have a new website that is almost complete and is live now. It uses my stage name “bexxjones.com”. The site incorporates all three services.
My husband is Terry Crosby, a television producer, as well as musician. He played with Neil Young in the early days. I was voice coached by Barbara Streisands voice coach Judy Davis, and attended cuisine classes at a private villa in Italy. I have performed for Larry King and his wife. I provide design services also incorporating set design, flower arrangements etc. One of my biggest design events was for David Tuterra, who had a TV show called “My Fair Wedding”
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We’ve added a new venue that can accommodate up to 200 guests, since our max is approx. 65. We’ll also be branching out our Diva’s Dishes & Design into corporate events.
We are also developing a Bexx Live show for corporate events.
