Today we’d like to introduce you to Bethany Michaels.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Bethany. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My story begins in Reno, NV ~ the biggest little city known for its short-lived mokumentary series on Comedy Central, Reno 911. From a young age, I knew that in order to separate myself from the comical image of my hometown, I would need to forge my own path to success.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s in Writing at The University of NV Reno, I accepted my first big-kid job at Prudential in the marketing department. But the redundant nature of my Monday-Friday desk job did not mesh with my personality, so, I quit. Soon after, I threw a party, kissed my family and friends goodbye, packed up my apartment and moved to Orange County.
Since then, I’ve published a book, was a featured artist in the Laguna Hills based magazine called Take Ten, managed the social media account of Stampington & Company [publisher of the largest number of niche magazines in the art and crafting industry] and helped many local small businesses and entrepreneurs with their email marketing campaigns, social media pages, SEO writing, and content writing needs.
In 2016, it was finally time to transition from freelancer to business owner, as I welcomed the bright new start of Content Social Media Queen. We now have over 15 clients in Orange County, Los Angeles, Riverside County, Reno NV and beyond.
We love working with small businesses and larger corporations alike. Our specialty hinges upon the needs of our client, as we aim to transform their dreams into reality through the powerful medium of online marketing and authentic branding.
I also provide creative decor and design, graphic design, and custom handwriting details for special events and weddings.
From real estate agents and mortgage lenders to CPR companies and Christian churches, I’ve helped a vast assortment of individuals and companies get from where they are, to where they want to be.
If you too are looking to optimize your online marketing and sales in one pretty package, you’ve come to the right place. But don’t take my word for it ~ discover why people love working with me.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Oh hell no. I never wanted to be a business owner. I never wanted to be an entrepreneur. I hate how social media makes it look so glamorous. Let me give you an example. The day I opened up my business account, I expected to walk out of the bank and be showered with a feeling of accomplishment, and hell, maybe even some confetti and balloons to top it off too. But, instead, I burst into tears and crumpled into the fetal position on the sidewalk. I couldn’t figure out why at first, but I think it was that overwhelming feeling of “holy crap, I just started a business…. now what?! what if it fails? what if I lose a ton of money? what the hell do I do now?” But, what I’ve learned, is that nothing becomes something overnight.
It takes hard, hard work. Each day presents new obstacles and challenges – like payroll, delegating tasks to new employees, training, and feeling responsible for other’s success. There’s a lot of challenges, but at the end of the day, it’s worth it because of the lifestyle it affords me, and all the beautiful, brilliant people I’ve been able to meet and help achieve their own goals in their own business.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I’m a writer at my core. So, naturally, my business focuses on unearthing my client’s story and illustrating its beauty and depth through words. We share their vision through social media, monthly newsletters, videography, graphic design, and website design. Ultimately my goal is leverage their brand through unique, authentic storytelling.
What were you like growing up?
My mom is amazing. She wanted me to have the life that she never did. So at a young age, I became very involved in acting, ballet, jazz, tap, singing, soccer, art, and virtually anything that involved creating. My schedule was always filled with something to do, but somehow, I managed to create some of the most wonderful friendships, that I still have today. I was a bit of an eccentric weirdo. I hated studying at school and would find odd, alternative methods to memorize details in subjects like math and history. Writing was always my strong suit and companion in times of loneliness. I always felt a bit different than my peers in school, but it was easy for me to make and keep friends.

I love this company! I used them for my YouTube channel Gaming Wildlife. I won’t say the content on my channel is great, but the way she helped me build SEO and audience was amazing over five years. I’m at 240k in subscribers today and growing along with 38 million views!
