Meet Bert Bogomolny of Wardrobe Shop

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bert Bogomolny.

Bert, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
We started as a retailer of Boho-style early 1900 dresses for second time brides, mothers, and alternative weddings. As things evolved, our expertise in the field grew, along with our customer base, and revenues followed. Since then we have opened new categories, and filled out our tried and true ones to establish ourselves as the go-to place online for Special occasion clothing, shoes and accessories with an alternative vintage flair.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I don’t know if we’ve had any obstacles, but there have been plenty of opportunities to get better. Every new person we add to our team is a great opportunity, as every new addition teaches us all to be better people and employees. Technology is also a tremendous opportunity for making our company function better internally, as well as improve the customer experience externally. Customer service is our biggest opportunity to date to truly be the world-class organization we ultimately want to be.

Please tell us about Wardrobe Shop.
We specialize in alternative special occasion clothing, shoes and accessories, and at this time we are best known for early 1900 boho style dresses and shoes for second time brides, mothers and alternative weddings. What sets us apart is listening to our customers and building an organization that show we truly know her with every move we make. What we are most proud of is our ever-growing community we’ve developed of like-minded people from all over the world. In this community, our fans openly share ideas and their love for fashion and history, and they do so without judgement or hesitation.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite childhood memory was anytime my father would return from a work trip. He would usually surprise me with something small, but unique and caring, and all of us would get together for dinner after. The joy of those moments has left some amazing lasting memories.
