Meet Ben Kadkhoda of Allure Pharmacy in West Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ben Kadkhoda.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ben. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I worked at a few independent pharmacies and realized that I would be able to do better with regard to customer service. At that point, I saved up and decided to open Allure Pharmacy with my partner’s who are my brother and my parents.

This is truly a family owned pharmacy. The entire family worked any time they had available for us to get the pharmacy up and running. My brother and I worked 6 days a week to make sure the business was being run the way we had envisioned it.

It took a few years of hard work to get noticed by those in the neighborhood as well as those in the surrounding neighborhoods. We now have a great staff that services all our patients with respect and care.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been a struggle to let people who use the large chains know that they can attain better service and still pay the same insurance co-pay by filling their prescriptions with an independent pharmacy like Allure. There are many who believe the large chains like the CVS’s are providing lower pricing which is not correct. We try to educate individuals who come in and once they realize that for the same co-pay they can attain better service and much shorter wait times they become loyal customers.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We are known for our exceptional service and for going the extra mile. We make sure if there are coupons available to use them to lower pricing for the patients and to make sure they get what they need as soon as possible. This is evidenced by our positive Yelp reviews as well as word of mouth advertising. Weekly we hear someone saying that someone they know referred them to Allure Pharmacy.
