Today we’d like to introduce you to Bea Egeto.
Bea, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve always been a person who thinks outside the box. A hard worker who will only get more motivated if there’s an obstacle in the road. When someone says “it can’t be done” has not met me yet. I’m a wholehearted entrepreneur, started my first digital film production company right out of college, and eventually expanded this firm into social media advertising. In addition to the business side of production, I’ve always had a keen interest in interactive entertainment.
I’ve started producing scripted web series shortly as the first popular Youtube videos made their debut, and eventually became Head of Production for a digital entertainment studio which allowed me to work on some amazing digital projects. This experience certainly opened my eyes to the possibilities to expand this form of entertainment and turn a scripted story into a live experience.
And this is how my live adventure game, The Bunker Experience was born. Both my digital film production company and my live adventure game are intertwined in a sense since they are both rooted in interactive entertainment.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Certainly, nothing comes easy. Starting from scratch and being a self-taught entrepreneur I absolutely had a lot of rough roads ahead when I started. Luckily I’m the type of person that will always find a way. There’s a will, there’s a way.
The Bunker Experience – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My digital production company offers film production services, and the advertisement division offers a full social media marketing package. I run both sides, all creative decisions and client services are through me. I’m super proud to share that my company won 2 Webby Awards for our creative work and was named as an Associate Webby Judge for the IADAS.
The Bunker Experience, even though it’s a relatively new company, has been well received by the public since it offers something new and unique. This is a one of a kind live adventure game in Los Angeles since the entire experience is a fully interactive game. The game is based on a choose-your-own-adventure web series that I’ve created, and each game/room corresponds with one episode.
With each room the player plays, they get further into the world we’ve created, they get to know the characters (who are played by live actors) better and get pulled into the story. The moment the players walk through our doors, they are in the story with live actors, a unique themed atmosphere. There is no other game that is similar in the story nor in experience currently in Los Angeles.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
One of the proudest moment is the first Webby Award that I’ve received for a web series that I’ve written and directed.
