The founder of Carpet Wagon (CW) & Payless Kitchen Cabinets (PKC), is Avo Barsoumian.
Avo received his bachelors in Psychology from California State University of Los Angeles. He was headed towards law school but was diverted to business when his family encountered financial strife.
He’s done over $100,000,000 in sales, ran 12 locations, with over 100 employees. In addition to being a flooring and remodeling entrepreneur, Avo spends his time learning new strategies on lead generation, marketing and positioning a business.
Prior to starting CW & PKC Avo managed a floor covering company. This major flooring retailer had over 25 storefronts in Southern California at the time.
CW was founded in late 1985, with the goal of offering the finest selection of floor coverings, the finest name brands in carpeting, the finest service and the finest savings that the industry has to offer. CW & PKC is now living that goal.

Our original store was opened in 1986 in Monrovia. Since then CW has transitioned to a Shop@Home model where we provide an even more convenient service to our clients by visiting them instead of them visiting our showroom. We have also included kitchen and bath remodeling services under our Payless Kitchen Cabinets brand.
Our long term history, both in sales and customer satisfaction is attributable directly to our friendly, expert and dependable sales team, support staff and service. After all, CW & PKC has become one of the region’s most dependable floor covering and kitchen and bath remodeling retailers. We have sold over 100 million in sales, and served tens of thousands of customers over the years.
