Today we’d like to introduce you to Aviana Macias
Hi Aviana , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started Stonies and Stoners Brand in 2023.I have been working as a manager at Vons market and one day after work I was talking with my oldest son and said “I am going to start a clothing brand “. I started doing research online and it went from there .I bought an IPad and asked my husband if he would be my designer being that he is a great artist .I tell him my vision for a design he puts a sample together and I go over what I want changed and he produces it ! Our eldest has also helps with designs .I like having the most original work /art I can .Thats what makes my brand different from others each design is my own .I started with a heat press and IPad and made it possible .We now have stonies and stoners brand being sold in a local store called 5-10 LA discount store .I do all the labor myself at home.When I chose the name for the brand I wanted it to represent myself first and to be able to change the stereotypes on the 420 community in general.To show that all types of people can be productive and stand for something good.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing is easy .Everything takes work .I knew that stepping into it .Some days I lost hope thinking of all the things I needed to do for my brand and for myself and for my kids as well as being a working mom.Time is always the struggle for me lol.I make it work and I am blessed to have my families support .Most times when I felt like giving up I remember that giving up is never an option so you find the strength push through and it works out ! Time and small arguments between my husband and self over my nit picking for a design to be perfectly like I want it lol .The time I take away from my family to work on the brand after working an all day shift can also put a strain on you .
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Each of my designs are 100% my ideas.I take an idea I have and create it by turning it into a shirt design or putting it on totes and cups . What makes us different is Nobody has our stuff/Designs/Merch/Clothes Stonies and stoners is one of a kind for that reason . We are best known for our shirts our LA crimes shirt and our first Stonies T for men and women is a favorite and top seller .
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
My family .My husband Alex for creating with me .My daughter Nyeli for handling emails business accounts.My son Jaiden for designing,modeling and running all my errands with me for the brand .Jaiden also works vending events with me .My youngest son Alex jr. for being one of my biggest fans.Last my mother Crista Jeanne for investing love money and faith into my dreams.
