Meet Aurea Luna of Aurea’s Photography in San Fernando Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aurea Luna.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Aurea. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I always like photography. I used to have a small pocket camera and would take pictures of everyone and everything. Close friends and relatives would tell me that I really had an eye for it. When I was in high school, I took a trip to Catalina island took many landscape and natures pictures and I only got better from there on. Now by the time I was in college, my friends started to ask me to take pictures of their kids, family members would ask if I could take pictures for birthday parties and so on. I was practicing more and more and my passion grew even more. My parents have been the biggest supporters in my life, so one day they gave me a huge surprise… they gave me my first DLSR camera. I was so excited! So you can imagine I didn’t stop taking pictures, I went and looked at tutorials online and put what I had learned to practice ASA. My first event was my friend’s daughter ‘s sweet 16. Wow! I was excited and nervous, but I did it! Her pictures were awesome. I felt very accomplished. And it only got better and better from that point on. Now with the help and support of my parents, I was able to open my own studio! A dream come true. I am my own boss and I do something that I love! I have developed my art more now I am also a videographer and video editor. I have been able to develop both worlds and I love it!

Now as a business owner and a professional, I feel accomplished and it feels great when I see my clients happy when I show them their pictures and video, it is very important to me because it’s their memories, and capturing it is so important.

I am thankful and I can’t wait to see what the futures holds for me …

Has it been a smooth road?
Thankfully because of the support and help of my parents, it’s been possible for me to get this far. Now there are always challenges along the way and struggles but as longs as I keep my head up and know that I can get through them, I will continue to succeed. Never give up and always keep my head up and have a smile …

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Aurea’s Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
Photography and videography is my business. From weddings, sweet 16, to kid’s portraits and maternity shoots anything that you need photo and video. My motto is “if you can dream it we can film it.”

What I am most proud as a company is how far I have gotten. Everyday I improve, everyday I learn new tricks.

What sets me apart from others I believe is my creativity my love for the art and how I communicated with my clients. I make sure I understand them and I listen to them so I can make sure that the results they get is 100 percent of what they want because at the end of the day its them that count. It’s there special day and I make it happen though my photography and videography…

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I would like to have opened a second studio, branch out more hopefully to TV Film would be great. Work more with big companies, and get better and better at my art …
