Meet Asha Yarde of Gorgeously Beautiful

Today we’d like to introduce you to Asha Yarde.

Asha Yarde

Hi Asha, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I struggled to find hair care products to properly moisturize my low porosity, kinky, type 4a hair, to help me retain length. My hair was constantly dry with tangles, which kept leading to breakage. I was tired of having to use multiple products on my hair to define my curls because it ultimately led to product buildup and on top of that my hair care routine would take hours out of my day that even thinking about it would cause stress. I wanted products that catered to my natural hair’s needs so I can have my goals of having healthy hair and being able to retain length. In 2020, I began creating products in my kitchen and those products became known as Gorgeously Beautiful.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road; I’ve had a couple of challenges along the way. One of the struggles I had was learning to delegate tasks. Being a business owner, there is so much that needs to be done, but trying to do everything yourself can easily lead to burnout. Delegating tasks to my assistant has helped me to put more focus on aspects of the business that need my attention.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Our hair care line was created around our mission, which is to help those that have curly, coily, and kinky hair to embrace their curls, all while providing products that will maintain the health of your hair, take the hassle out of your hair care routine, and have you fall back in love with your curly hair. Our natural hair products for curly hair were created with minimal, natural and safe ingredients to give our naturalistas simplicity and transparency so they are aware of what is going into their hair as well as a piece of mind knowing our products do not contain any harmful chemicals or preservatives. Minimal ingredients allow us to use more quantities of the key ingredients; that way, your hair is able to get the most benefits out of each ingredient. It also helps to reduce the risk of allergens and irritants in our consumer’s hair.

Our products are pH balanced to match the hair’s pH which has a slightly acidic pH, ranging from 4.5 to 5.5. Products that are pH-balanced help to maintain this natural acidity, which is essential for the overall health of the hair. Each product was created with this principle in mind to resolve everyday curly hair issues and to provide the best styling product for curly hair. I’m extremely proud of how Gorgeously Beautiful has positively impacted so many curly women’s hair. I get so many messages about how my brand has given their hair the moisture they’ve been wanting and along with definition and helping them retain length.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
We’d like to collaborate with those whose mission is similar to ours, whether you are an influencer that focuses on natural hair or even a salon that focuses on styling curly hair. You can collaborate with me by sending an email at: [email protected]. A couple of ways that you can support my business is by spreading the word to others with curly hair that are looking for solutions to their hair care problems.
