Meet Arthur Moore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Arthur Moore.

Thanks for sharing your story with us, Arthur. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
Well, I’ve always wanted to entertain since I was young. I was always the loud one or class clown. I grew up in Augusta Georgia, but when I moved to North Augusta South Carolina was when I use to watch A LOT of movies, everything. From Casablanca to Malcolm X. I went in the Air Force because I was hoping somehow I could be near Hollywood and figure it out. Eventually, when Jamie Foxx won for Ray, I said to myself that I would become an actor someday.

Fast forward a few years, and I was in an accident where I almost died, I didn’t wanna die with accomplishing anything. I started doing stand up then moved to LA. I’ve worked every job including PA for many TV movies and music videos and learned a lot. I attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, after graduating I’ve been full time. I’ve been in LA five years now…..

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Well throughout when I first moved to LA, I drove from Georgia to LA with the radio off the entire trip because I was scared to death. I slept in my car a few weeks until I stayed in a homeless shelter for veterans for a year and a half. Taking the bus to auditions, doing background, audience work, all kinds of things to survive.

We’d love to hear more about what you do.
Well, I have numerous short films, and web series online, I have a series I’m in on amazon prime called “maybe baby” check that out, my first independent film “Back in the NO” coming out this summer, if you check out WOW wrestling I’m one of the tribesmen for princess Aussie, that’s on axstv, and also I have a web series on my YouTube page (Art Mo) called “In my Head, Actor life”….new episodes every week. Comedy is natural for me, but I love drama.

What were you like growing up?
Outgoing, class clown but kind of an introvert at the same time. I was into sports, so basketball was my main thing. I played a little in high school and in the military.
