Today we’d like to introduce you to Armine Nazarian.

Armine, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I went to Dental School in the East Coast, to Tufts School of Dental Medicine and I moved from Boston after graduating in 1992. My family and I moved to Los Angeles area for the beautiful climate, relatives and friends who already lived here. My goal as a young 20 year old was to be in a profession that I could help others and make a difference in my community. That’s when as a biology major, I met a dentist when I was working on a research project at Harvard Dental School, who introduced me to the idea of becoming a dentist and the rest is history. I worked in difference practices when I moved to Los Angeles and that’s when I realized the kind of dental practice I wanted to work in. I started looking for a practice in many areas and started my own private practice in 1998. I have been in the same location since then. I love catering to my patients that come in all ages with all different dental needs. Some need more help to conquer their fear of the dentist so my staff and I do our best to create a relaxing and calming environment for them. I always try to be my best and to provide them with the best dental care possible designed to suit their wants and needs.

Has it been a smooth road?
Dealing with insurance companies is always a struggle. Our overhead is high and continues to rise every year, but our profit margin is low. The insurance companies don’t make an effort to help dentists by raising fees and try to lower fees whenever they get a chance. In the meantime, we need to provide a raise to our employees every year and our rents and cost of living continues to rise….

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Armine Nazarian, DMD, INC. – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I provide cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics and facial esthetics in addition to general dentistry. I also have an in-house periodontist with whom we provide Implants and periodontal care.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The traffic is my least favorite but the diversity of people walking into my practice is always interesting.

Pricing:

We take insurance so pricing depends on their insurance
If no insurance, we have a new patient Special- $250- for full mouth examination, complete prophylaxis and a full set of X-rays.
Zoom Whitening Special- $250—— receive $50 rebate from Philips once procedure is complete
