Today we’d like to introduce you to Arie Rose.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Arie. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
In 2017, I was laid off from my dream TV hosting job. I fell into a baby depression, what I like to call “A Funk”! I couldn’t figure out what I wanted to do after that. I felt lost and confused, hurt and angry, a ton of mixed emotions. At the time, I had about 10k followers on Instagram so I had to figure out how to monetize during this temporary low season.
I decided I would write an 8 page ebook and collect emails in exchange for this. I ended up typing and typing and typing, the words kept flowing out of my fingertips. I ended up writing an entire book with 111 pages and I named it “Fight the Funk”. This book made it to “#1 New Release on Amazon” in the first week of it being released. I took the money I made from book sales and created my own book tour traveling to 10 cities in one year, empowering women and teaching them how to “Fight the Funk” at my event called “Sip & Slay”. We would come together, sip some cocktails while we learned how to slay in every way. Fast forward to 2020, I have launched Destination HER, an exclusive membership site for ongoing growth in our daily lives. I do exclusive interviews with fellow boss babes, video lessons, worksheets and more! Ps. “Fight the Funk” 2.0 will be released end of April 2020 with a whole new look, updates and an additional chapter!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
What is a smooth road? I have been laid off, broke a few times, been crushed to the ground and then some. I have been a single mom since I was 18 years old, so smooth road, definitely no, but it has been a blessed one. I have gained wisdom, strength and courage from these low’s and I have learned that all high’s are not permanent but neither are all the low’s.
Destination HER – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I love that my brand Arie Rose, The Latina influencer and 2x author, has opened so many avenues and branched out the way it has. From being able to sell out women empowerment events are the U.S. to launching my podcast “The Hope Dealer” to Destination HER, the purpose remains the same, to empower! The fact that I have created a community of boss babes that can come together and connect even when an event is not in full effect is a blessing. During this quarantine I launched my own successful business #TeamDestinationHER and currently have a team of 5 boss women working with me on the West Coast! We have all doubled our income from home during quarantine! Being able to help women increase in all areas of their lives is a major blessing!
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is finding your purpose and being able to walk down that path confidently. Success is knowing you are changing lives and being a blessing to others while being able to help and bless your family.
