Today we’d like to introduce you to Aram Khayatpour.
Hi Aram, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I became a contractor because I grew up in a family of builders. Being around construction my whole life inspired me. When I became a homeowner, I struggled to find an honest builder who took pride in their work. This motivated me to become a contractor myself. I learned the necessary skills, got licensed, and started my own business.
Quickly, I realized there was a tremendous need for a reliable and honest contractor in the market. To stand out, we developed our own unique style, using natural and recycled materials in our projects. The combination of quality craftsmanship and sustainable practices caught the attention of homeowners, and our demand skyrocketed in a short amount of time.
Within five years of being in business, we successfully completed over 100 large projects and countless repairs. Our commitment to delivering exceptional work and our focus on using eco-friendly materials resonated with clients.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road for us. Dealing with the pandemic and rising material costs made it tough to keep costs down for clients while still paying fair wages to our employees. But I’ve managed to balance it by working long hours and finding ways to be as efficient as possible. It was challenging, but our dedication to quality work and open communication with clients helped us navigate through it all. We’re constantly learning and adapting to overcome the obstacles that come our way in the construction industry.
We’ve been impressed with The Fix Construction, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Unlike most contractors, our firm is a fully integrated design-and-build general contractor with a tremendous amount of experience providing services for a diverse group of clientele. We’ve completed hundreds of projects of every size and price range, many in preparation for a sale or lease, or shortly after a purchase. This has given us a unique viewpoint as to how to design homes that will not only be affordable and functional, but will also be stunning showpieces that will multiply the value of the investment into the property. I work closely with our lead designer to design homes that will be functional, beautiful, and will be built in a smart and efficient way to reduce labor and material cost without reducing any of the quality of the end product. The end result is a blend of high-end design and quality that is rarely seen at the price point that we offer.
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was naturally curious, hands-on and had a knack for problem-solving. I loved exploring and learning through practical experiences, especially in the realm of construction and craftsmanship. Whether assisting my family with building projects or embarking on my own DIY endeavors, I enjoyed the challenge of finding innovative solutions to overcome obstacles.
