Today we’d like to introduce you to Antoine de Lartigue.
Antoine, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Photography has always been a passion of mine, but I began to do professional headshots only a couple of years ago.
As a child I was watching my dad work on his pictures (he was a photo journalist), and I have always been playing around with cameras.
Because I did pictures for free at a birthday party in Paris – and because they were so happy with the results – I got a connection that led to an internship at Vogue, Paris. I got to see some of the most famous photographer work, and I began assisting photographers on the side.
I was working in production for many years in Paris, always keeping photography as a hobby, until one day The Mods, a males modeling agency in Paris, France that was starting at the time, asked me to shoot for them. I made both tests (photos for the model’s book) and short videos introducing the model I was shooting. Some of these are still on YouTube.
I moved to Florida in 2013, and I kept shooting tests and videos for small modeling agencies In Miami, FL. And a year later, I moved to LA, and began to focus on headshot photography here. I have recently also been doing weddings, lifestyle, events, and various gigs photography/videography related.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Actually it has been a pretty smooth road because I have always had another job on the side until recently. Now that I am fully dedicated to photography, I am offering great deals on headshots in Santa Monica to keep my schedule busy

- HEADSHOTS : we also offer a pay-as-you-go system for $35, also available on Groupon and Living Social : this includes a full photoshoot with 1 retouched picture. Additional pictures are available for $29 per picture without retouches, and $35 with retouches..
