Meet Anthony Silva of Silva Shootz Photography in Encino

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Silva.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Anthony. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I fell in love with photography when I was in 8th grade, I started taking photos at my little brother at his baseball games. Then entering Highschool I was fortunate enough to have multiple friends convince me to start photographing more then just sports, “baseball” being the only sport I’ve photographed. So, I said “it’s worth a try” to one of my closest friends and looked for more opportunities other than just baseball. I got immediate reactions of people wishing they would have known me earlier so I could photograph their children. Others were very impressed by my work at a young age still in Highschool.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Just like life, nothing ever goes just the way we want it. I’ve found myself early on stuck trying to think of ways to drive more clients into contacting me. I learned that social media and word of mouth were the best way for new people to find my service.

Silva Shootz Photography – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My Business is surrounded around photography. From Sports to Weddings I’ve worked with all the types of photography needs people want. If I had to pick my favorite type of photography I’d pick sports photography because that was the start of my business Silva Shootz. I also really enjoy Event photography because I get to capture people’s memories from a particular day in their life. I’d say what sets myself apart as a business from others is that my prices are affordable and my unique and creative eye that I’m constantly seeing new ways to photograph my clients. I feel that people shouldn’t pay high prices for photographers to capture their special moments. During the time, I’ve had with my running my own business people have always said one similar thing after they see the final product, “You have such a good eye and talented mind”.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moments are every time I hear what my clients say about the photos I deliver.
